The Strategic Threat Analysis and Response (STAR) Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory delivers responsive solutions to complex security needs in threat-relevant timeframes.

We serve the nation with multidisciplinary team science, enhancing national competitiveness by integrating intelligence, operational, scientific, technological and engineering (ST&E) expertise. 

Our experts are comprised of ST&E staff, administrative, operational, IT and facilities teams. Partnerships across LLNL, the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Enterprise, industry and academia are essential to successfully executing our mission.
